May 17th, 2013 – After dodging rain showers all day Saturday the weather held out and The RMLSA put on a great show for the fans at Lincoln County Raceway in North Platte, NE. Troy Ullery picked up his 51st main event and continued his hot start to 2014.

The heat races started the evening and fresh off his 1st win Glenn Waterland picked up the heat victory followed by Troy Ullery, Jeff Gieg, Troy Simpson, Paul Babich, Steve Becker, Shane Stanley and Scott Wilson.

Lincoln County Raceway did a superb job working the track in during the intermission. The track had moisture and there were several grooves to run. The staff and all the fans were wonderful and we look forward to returning August 2nd.

The Main event got underway with Scott Wilson jumping out to an early lead. Early on Babich pulled off with a mechanical failure. On the restart Wilson was on a rail with a nice lead with Gieg, Ullery battling for second. Ulllery got around Gieg and went about reeling Wilson in. As the laps ticked down Ullery got closer and Wilson’s car seemed to go away. Ullery was able to get by Wilson and take the checkered. Having some mechanical issues Wilson pulled off putting Gieg in the 2nd position just narrowly staying in front of a hard charging Steve Becker. Rounding out the top 5 was Troy Simpson and Glenn Waterland.

Heat – Glenn Waterland, Troy Ullery, Jeff Gieg, Troy Simpson, Paul Babich, Steve Becker, Shane Stanley and Scott Wilson.

May 10th, 2014 – The RMLSA made its first of 2 trips in 2014 to Phillips County Raceway in Holyoke, CO on Saturday. Those who stayed home due to the unsettled weather missed out on a very nice and very fast track. 10 Lighting sprints pulled through the gate. At times it was touchy if we would get the races in but Mother Nature cooperated and the show went off without a hitch. Thanks to the staff at PCR for running a quick and solid show as we they got the whole show done in about 2 hours.
