Johnny Boos and BJ Sauer win El Paso Doubleheader

The winged RMLSA Lightning Sprints took part in a doubleheader at El Paso County Raceway this weekend. 19 cars took part on Friday and 23 raced on Saturday including two drivers from Southern California. Night one saw #24B Johnny Boos win another followed by #26 Chris Crowder and #2 James Turnball rounding out the podium. Night number two had a new winner- car #21 BJ Sauer taking the win followed by #26 Chris Crowder awith #86 Jenn Woods rounding out the podium. Full results to follow.

Blair Cooper wins at Honor Speedway

11 cars made the trip to race without wings at Honor Speedway in Pueblo, Colorado Saturday night. #32 Blair Cooper came from the 7th starting position to pass race leader #24B Johnny Boos with two laps to go for his first RMLSA win! #24B Johnny Boos finished 2nd flowed by #26 Chris Crowder. Next weekend we have a winged doubleheader at El Paso County Raceway in Calhan, CO. Friday and Saturday August 7th and 8th. One on out and bring your friends and family for some great racing!

Trengrove wins at Honor Speedway

13 cars made the trip to Honor Speedway in Pueblo, CO for the first visit of the 2020 season. Heat races were won by #24B Johnny Boos, and #5 TJ Trengrove. The feature started with a bang, as in lap #2 the leader hit a tire and spun in front of the field collecting several cars. After the race was restarted #24 B Johnny Boos took the lead. A great battle was brewing thru the field until late race the #39X Dakota Dillin made contact with the backstretch wall , breaking off a wheel that was eventually run over by the #26 car Chris Crowder. The 39x was unable to rejoin the field. When the checkers were thrown, the #24 B took the checkered for the apparent win, but was disqualified for a rules violation. Rookie TJ Trengrove would take the win , followed by the #17 Dave MCCray and #10 Ken Brown rounding out the podium. They were followed by the #9F Andy Flood, #26 Chris Crowder, #57 Brady Balderson, #0 Bryan Van Deusan, , #33 Gale Ingram, #75 Jumior Thompson, #39X Dakota Dillin, #32 Blair Cooper, #24B Johnny Boos, and #44 Ryan Radar. The next race is back at Honor Speedway, no wings, on 8/1. See you at the races!!!!
