Waterland makes it two in a row!
The RMLSA made a welcome return to the I-76 Speedway at Fort Morgan after a 2 month break. On a warm and humid night Glenn Waterland in the 11c drew the pole and didn’t look back to take the feature.
Johnny Boos made a great drive from 6th on the grid to finish second, followed by the always fast Brandon Steele in the 5.
The top five was rounded out by Blaine Schubarth in 4th and BJ Sauer in fifth, who had his best result of the year with the RMLSA.
Heat race winners were Glenn Waterland and Brandon Steele.

Waterland Wins at El Paso County

17 Lightning Sprints made the trip on Friday night to Fair night at the El Paso County Raceway in Calhan, CO. A little rain from mother nature helped to give us the widest fastest track we have ever seen there.
Heat races were won by the #2 of Blaine Schubarth, the ?#?11C? of Glen Waterland, and the #29 of Skyler Wissman.
The #11C of Glen Waterland won the feature race running the top, in a caution free race that was over very quickly. Scott Heikes in the #30, and Blaine Schubarth in the #2 rounded out the podium.

Schubarth Wins again at El Paso County
Blaine Schubarth took advantage of his pole starting position to lead flag to flag at El Paso County raceway to continue is dominance at our home track. He has yet to be beaten there this year. The #5 of Brandon Steele , starting in the 5th spot, was able to nearly catch him, but ran out of laps to attempt a pass. Good racing on a slick , bumpy, dusty track!!! Top 5 was #2 Schubarth, #5 Steele, #30 Scott Hiekes, #24B Johnny Boos, and #23 Cullen Potoker.
