Cooper, Boos win doubleheader features

The RMLSA had a great winged doubleheader weekend . Friday night, 13 Lightning Sprints took to the tacky 3/8 mile at Honor Speedway in Pueblo, Colorado for the annual Frank Potoker Memorial race. Pueblo’s own #32 Blair Cooper took the checkered from the seventh starting spot for his second win of the season. #9F Andy Flood finished second place with #26 Chris Crowder rounding out the top three.

Night number two of the doubleheader weekend saw 18 Lightning sprints tackle a rough slick El,Paso County Raceway in Calhan, Colorado. The feature was won by #24B Johnny Boos , #26 Chris Crowder finished second with #39x Dakota Dillin rounding out the podium.

Dillin wins non wing at I76

13 RMLSA Lightning Sprints made the trip to I-76 Speedway on a hot Saturday night.

The feature started out with a huge wreck taking out half the field.

After the cleanup, the #39x Dakota Dillin took the checkered flag for the win, followed by the #86 Jenn Woods and #32 Blair Cooper. #21 BJ Sauer and #44 Ryan Radar rounded out the top 5.

Up next- double header Friday at 7pm at Honor Speedway in Pueblo, and Saturday night at 5pm at El Paso County Raceway in Calhan, Colorado. Both are winged races. See you at the races!!

Jenn Woods wins at I-76 Speedway

18 RMLSA Lightning sprints made the trip to race at I-76 Speedway in Fort Morgan Colorado for some great winged racing running the annual Don Flood Memorial race. Heat reach were won by #57 Brady Balderson, #86 Jenn Woods, and #75 Junior Thompson. After a long rain delay, the track was tacky, fast, and smooth. When the action was done at midnight, the RMLSA had its seventh winner of the season as the #86 GSXR powered Hyper driven by Jenn Woods took the checkered flag for her first win of 2020. #24B Honda powered Hyper driven by Johnny Boos finished 2nd, followed by the Honda powered Fab Tech #9F driven by Andy Flood. Complete results to follow when they are official.
