Waterland Makes it two wins in a row !!!

Glenn Waterland in the GSXR Powered 11C, made it two in a row at El Paso County Speedway. He survived a spirited challenge by the 24B of Johnny Boos, but pulled away for his 7th win of the year!! Finishing 2nd was the #24B of Johnny Boos, followed by the #2 of Blaine Schubarth.

Waterland Wins At El Paso County
World Of Outlaws crowd was huge!!!

he RMLSA raced Wednesday as the support show for the World OF Outlaws and the Rocky Mountain Midget Racing Assoc. at El Paso County Speedway in Calhan, CO. 20 Lightning Sprints , 20 Midgets and 24 Sprint Cars made for an Epic show on a smooth slick track that made for fantastic racing, and lots of passing.
RMLSA Heats were won by Blaine Schubarth and Glen Waterland. The 20 laps feature was again green to checkers after one restart. Glen Waterland took the lead from the pole and never looked back. Blaine Schubarth and Brandon Steele rounded out the top three. Behind them was battle after battle for some great racing.

Schubarth wins at El Paso County....

Blaine Schubarth won again at El Paso County, but not the way he often does. Starting on the pole again, Schubarth led for several laps, until the 24B Of Johnny Boos completed the pass on the outside exiting turn 2.The 11C of Glen Waterland followed Boos taking over the 2nd spot. The #5 of Brandon Steele brought out the red flag after flipping in turn 2- he was OK, but could not continue. After the restart the Boos #24B led thru the white flag, until the engine stumbled for the last lap, slowing up the 11C of Waterland, letting the #2 of Schubarth take the lead for the final lap. Top 5 was Schubarth, Waterland, Scott Heikes, Jesse Fernandez with #23 Cullen potoker rounding out the top 5. Congrats to Fernandez, starting in the 11th spot, to finish 4th. Final results later .
