2023 RMLSA rules meeting

To all RMLSA potential members.

The RMLSA held our annual rules meeting on January 28th, for the 2023 race season.

Elections were held and Gale Ingram was elected to retain his President title, as well as Dave Boos retaining his Vice President title. We had four nominations for the BOD (Board of Directors). Mike McMillen, BJ Sauer, Brian Aldrich, and Brock Purvis. Voting was held and we have appointed three BOD’s with one alternate to the BOD. Mike McMillen, BJ Sauer, and Brock Purvis were appointed to the BOD with Brian Aldrich being appointed as the alternate. Maegan Irvine will retain her position as Secretary. Don Irvine and Brian Aldrich were nominated for Tech Directors and have accepted those positions.

We thank all members that voted as well as all for accepting each position.

Items of discussion were general club information, sponsorships, tires, community outreach, and ways to grow our club. However, the most exciting item of discussion was the payouts for the upcoming 2023 season. We have entered a sponsorship that is allowing us to increase our payouts and we have concluded our payout for each race will be as followed:
-1st Place A-Main Finish: $500
-2nd Place A-Main Finish: $300
-3rd Place A-Main Finish: $200
-Hard Charger Award: $50
-At the conclusion of each A-Main, the 1st place finisher will draw two positions out of a hat and each position will be paid $75.
-Every position to start the main will receive $100 tow money.

This means a first place finish can receive a payout for a total of $600 for a night of racing. As well as a last place finish to the main still receiving $100 for their night out at the track. This is very exciting news, and we are very appreciative of our sponsors for the upcoming season.

We are encouraging any Lightning Sprint in the USA to come run with the RMLSA at any of our scheduled 18 points races for this upcoming season. If you, or any friends are looking for a car to buy, or need any information about the most affordable open wheel racing in the region, please contact any of us.
